Cummins Diesel Rat Rod Cranks Out 550 Horsepower!

By: |

One of the hottest attractions at this year’s South Texas Performance Hot Rod Riot was JB Clegg’s rat rod made out of a 1929 sedan, converted to truck hybrid.

The front end of the unique machine comes from an Isuzu and the back end comes directly from a 1994 Dodge pickup, featuring big fat wheels.

Beyond that, all other metal and paint work was done completely by Clegg and his colleagues.

The most prominent aspect of the diesel rat rod is the massive pipe that protrudes out of the engine bay.

This puppy pours out approximately 550 hp and an insane amount of torque thanks to a Cummins diesel fitted with a 62 mm Phat Shaf turbocharger.
